As we witness the increasingly apparent effects of climate change around the globe, it has become abundantly clear that urgent action is needed to mitigate its devastating impacts. From unprecedented heavy rainfall floods in typically arid regions like Dubai, Indonesia, and Brazil to prolonged droughts in regions such as France and Spain, the urgency of our situation cannot be overstated. With average temperatures surpassing 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels in many regions, we find ourselves racing against time to implement effective solutions. In light of these pressing challenges and the imperative of sustainability, the Polymer Society of Thailand is proud to announce the theme for our 14th annual conference:
“Polymer Innovations for Sustainable Future”
This theme underscores our commitment to harnessing the power of polymer science and innovation to address the critical issues facing our planet. We aim to foster innovative solutions within the Thai contexts that contribute to global sustainability targets. Additionally, we seek to learn from experts around the globe who may have appropriate solutions or innovations for Thailand and the region. We welcome various topics of interest in polymer science and technology. We invite all stakeholders, both from industrial and academic sectors, to join us in this crucial endeavor. Together, let us share our research, engage in meaningful discussions, and collaborate on innovations that will pave the way towards a more sustainable future for generations to come.
